To: All Fremont Residents Brush will be picked up on the first Monday of each month unless it falls on a Holiday (April thru November). 2008 Dates - Monday April 7, 2008 IF WE DID NOT PICK UP YOUR BRUSH IT WAS BECAUSE We do not take branches larger than 3” in diameter. It was not stacked correctly. The cut ends of the branches should be stacked towards the road. This makes the chipping of the branches much easier and less time consuming. We do not pick up grass clippings, leaves, grape vines, hedges, rose bushes, bark, tree roots etc. They damage the chipper, therefore, are the responsibility of the property owner. The brush removal program is a service for homeowners who do their own tree trimming. We DO NOT remove or chip brush if a private contractor or other party is employed to cut a tree down. They must include brush removal in their bid. This service is for tree trimming only, not for complete tree removal. Time constraints do not allow us to spend hours at one location. SPRING LEAF PICK UP – We will pick up leaves during the weeks of April 21st-25th and April 28th-May 2nd, 2008, for those who did not get them raked in the fall. Reminder, there is no open burning in Fremont. We will pick up on Tuesdays-Thursdays-Fridays. REGULAR FALL LEAF PICK UP – We will begin October 9th, 2008, as long as the weather cooperates. Pick up will be on Tuesdays-Thursdays-Fridays of each week. East/West Streets will be on Tuesdays, North/South Streets on Thursdays and Fridays will cover the entire Town. The schedule may change depending on weather. STREET SWEEPING – Town Streets will be swept every Friday beginning April 11th, 2008, until fall. Subdivision streets will be swept on an alternate basis, every other Friday. It is greatly appreciated if all vehicles are off the street on sweeping day. The sweeping takes place in the early morning hours, typically from 3am to 6am. COMPOST – Residents of Fremont can pick up free leaf compost, if available at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, until it is gone.
