The Town of Fremont is accepting applications for the position of Town Manager. The Town of Fremont is north of Angola with a population of approximately 2,030 people. The Town has a strong industrial base, an excellent school system, and several subdivisions. The Town is looking to fill the downtown store fronts, continue with adding housing, expanding our local industries, and continuing to make Fremont a walkable community and per the Town motto, truly "a place to come home to."
The Town is looking for candidates who have experience in small town managament, who are not afraid to pitch in where needed, and to advance the goals for the Fremont Town Council.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Management, or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in local government management preferred
- Experience with government accounting preferred
- Experience in supervising a minimum of 10 employees preferred
- Computer skills including MS, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel at a minimum
- Ability to speak in public and experience in making public presentations
- Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
- Grant writing experience a plus
- Must live in Steuben County, Indiana, or be willing to relocate as such
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Salary will be based on experience

The Town of Fremont will be accepting applications for a qualified, full-time police officer, Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm, through February 13, 2026. Successful applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Officer applicants must have successfully completed the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy training, or be able to complete the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy training.
